Whole foods can also provide iron, calcium, vitamin B12, omega-3 fats, fibre and carbohydrates. A powder brings something food cannot always offer: speed and convenience. Both can be useful.

A Hot Take on “Clean Protein”

“Clean protein” is a shopping preference, not a scientific category.

People often use the phrase to mean minimally processed, responsibly sourced, easy to digest or free from ingredients they avoid. Those can be reasonable preferences.
